Gerald Rudolph Ford (born Leslie Lynch King, Jr., July 14, 1913 – December 26, 2006

Pardon me, Leslie,
America's first and
only king--not a vote
was cast. You dabbed
a wounded country
with injustice. It
is still infected (CNN
has ratings-induced amnesia).
But unlike other monarchies,
America doesn't believe
in Divine Rights.
Hopefully someone will
resign or get impeached
from heaven. As for me,
I'll be dodging it.
But I'm not worried,
you'll let us all in
--me, Squeaky, Ms. Moore
--eventually.

Soul 'Godfather' James Brown dies

"Godfather of Soul" James Brown was being treated for "severe pneumonia" in an Atlanta hospital when he died.

It's a man's man's man's man's world.

This is a man's world, this is a man's world
But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl

You see, man made the cars to take us over the road
Man made the trains to carry heavy loads
Man made electric light to take us out of the dark
Man made the boat for the water, like Noah made the ark

This is a man's, a man's, a man's world
But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl

Man thinks about a little baby girls and a baby boys
Man makes then happy 'cause man makes them toys
And after man has made everything, everything he can
You know that man makes money to buy from other man

This is a man's world
But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl

He's lost in the wilderness
He's lost in bitterness
